How crowdfunding is helping women entrepreneurs win the capital raising game

Join Heather Barnhouse, Partner in our Edmonton office, as she explores women in leadership and entrepreneurship, and the ecosystem that supports them. In episode 42, Heather is joined by Anita Kemp and Dr. Amanda Williams, members of the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH) Alberta Team working out of Mount Royal University. WEKH is an organization that shares research and resources on women entrepreneurs in Canada. WEKH is made up of 10 regional hubs including a network of over 250 organizations, reaching more than 100,000 women entrepreneurs. In this episode, Anita Kemp and Dr. Amanda Williams discuss a recent report they co-authored about the state of women entrepreneurship and a focus on how women entrepreneurs are utilizing crowd funding to raise capital.
